BIOGRAPHY

Babs Armour is an award-winning New York City based photographer whose work has been widely exhibited and sold. Her store window photography was featured on ABC's Good Morning America and on WCBS-TV, and appeared as a cover story on VM&SD, a design industry magazine.

Babs's photographs are included in both private and corporate collections, including the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City and American Express Financial Services in Minneapolis, MN. They have also been published in magazines and books and one image was chosen as the cover for the book Upper Cape Cod, A Photographic Portrait.

In his Harry Abrams book, How To Look at Everything, David Finn wrote: "Babs Armour had the imagination to capture with her camera street reflections on windows intermingled with the objects inside producing surreal effects."

Babs grew up in New England where she studied art beginning at age six, but it was not until 1989 in a course at The International Center of Photography that she discovered that it was the camera that gave her the ability to fully express herself visually. Photography has been her passion ever since.

Babs is a member and former board member of Professional Women Photographers.
